The following presentations can be geared for an audience of creatives, entrepreneurs and business people.

CREATIVITY
I believe all humans are naturally creative. But sometimes societal programming makes us doubt ourselves, and we start to feel creativity is for other people, such as artists. I have found there is a dance that occurs within ourselves when we harness our creativity, and part of the secret to building your creative muscle is listening actively to your muse, and nourishing it properly. This also means embracing the muse’s “opposite”, or “compliment”, the critic, and learning how to allow the critic in at the right time (and hold it at bay the rest of the time). Creativity can be developed to the point you can rely upon it, and I love helping people get there.

THE MUSICIAN MINDSET
Many of the lessons learned as a musician helped me greatly for the eight years when I worked as a manager in hospitals. And many of the lessons learned as a manager have served me well as an entrepreneurial musician. Blending the two, I like to speak about adopting a Musician Mindset that can serve you in any endeavour that requires some creativity.

A Musician Mindset involves:
Tapping into all parts of yourself to harness your creativity;
Getting clear about what’s important and maintaining focus;
Taking an idea from inception and achieving real results;
Being (like) an Artist, with a vision, point of view, purpose and style;
Working as a team to create a memorable experience for others.

WELL BEING AND PURPOSE
I often talk about the music industry and the many effects it can have on our mental, physical, and financial health. Much of this is born from a sense so many artists have of not being good enough, or from the intense pressure of public scrutiny. I’ve come to realise, however, that many of the same issues can be found in all other walks of life.

I explore:
Re-defining success by seeing what’s real and shifting perspective;
Overcoming blame, shame and criticism;
Finding meaning and being of service, and;
Embracing Creativity.
